Have rising interest rates and high home prices kept you from taking the next step toward owning your own home? If they have, we have some great news! Interest rates for a 30-year mortgage note plummeted this week to the lowest level we’ve seen since January 2018, to right around the 4% mark. This can have a pretty big impact on your buying power, allowing you to finance a higher sales price, without a higher payment.

At the same time, the inventory of homes for sale increased by 32% in March, compared to March of 2018, so there are more homes available to choose from and less of a chance for the bidding wars that were the norm in our market for a while. There unfortunately is no crystal ball to tell us how long rates will remain this low, so take advantage of the universe’s golden ticket while you can.
