Residents who like to spend time outside will find many excellent recreational facilities to utilize throughout Prosper. The town’s Parks & Recreation department maintains numerous Parks around town. There are many neighborhood and pocket parks located in residential areas throughout Prosper. The town is home to 3 community parks. Frontier Park (1551 West Frontier Parkway) covers 79.7 acres. It has many great amenities for outdoor and athletic activities, including 3 playgrounds, a sprayground, numerous baseball and softball fields, 11 soccer fields, several backstops, a lacrosse field, and a practice field. The other two community parks, Town Lake Park-Greenspoint (198 Townlake Drive) and Town Lake Park-Whispering Farms (901 Woodview Drive), allow the opportunity to explore the great outdoors with natural areas, hiking and biking trails, and ponds with fishing docks. Throughout Prosper, there is a 22.33 mile trail system that offers the opportunity for walking, jogging, and biking around the community. The Parks & Recreation department offers great recreational programming throughout the year for youth and adults.

Prosper is proud of providing excellent K-12 educational institutions for its residents. Students in the community are served by Prosper Independent School District. This school district is classified by the University Interscholastic League as a 5AAAA school district. It has continually been recognized statewide and nationally for its academic excellence.
